The Buckley Summer Camp is open to children entering grades one through 8 at Buckley and elsewhere. Buckley’s Kinder Adventure Camp is for children entering Buckley kindergarten only. Lunch is included every day.
Class Offerings
Description: Kindergarten Adventure is an educational and fun-filled program, carefully designed with the needs and developmental considerations of our youngest campers in mind. Campers will engage in activities including arts & crafts, storytelling, imaginative play, games, athletics, and much more.
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Optional Extended Care Hours: 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Session Dates:
- Session 1: June 17-28 (No camp Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth)
- Session 2: July 1-12 (No camp Thursday or Friday, July 4 and 5 in observance of Independence Day)
- Session 3: July 15-29
Tuition:
- Kindergarten Adventure Tuition (sessions 1 and 2): $1,030/session
- Kindergarten Adventure Tuition (session 3): $1,140/session
- Kindergarten Extended Care Cost: $300/session
Note: Participants must be entering Kindergarten at Buckley in Fall 2024.
Week 1 Summer Camp Activities | June 17-21
A week of instruction, games, and development with our current varsity boys basketball coach and athletic director Coach Senna. Get ready to see if you have what it takes to be a varsity basketball player!

Description: Focus on learning and introducing the kids to kitchen tools, new recipes and skills, and creativity in the kitchen, learning how to bake yummy treats as well as cooking up some fun and healthy snacks.

Description: This camp will definitely have you moving. It enables our campers to be themselves while developing creativity and coordination. Dance activities include basic hip hop dance moves, tumbling, and dance games in a high energy environment. No prior dance experience is needed.

Description: Attention all aspiring movie makers! This summer, you'll have the chance to bring your wildest movie ideas to life. You will learn how to write a script, create storyboards, and use cool technology to film and edit your movie. By the end, you'll have your very own movie to share with family and friends.

Description: This program is designed for the children to explore, have fun, and feel successful in their abilities. Students will engage in a wide variety of games and activities that reinforce what is covered in our primary physical education program. We are focused on drills, skills, and thrills. All the games we play are small sided and modified for every student to find success. The objectives of Summer Sports Spectacular are learning, having fun, making new friends, and experiencing multiple games and sports while at summer camp here at Buckley.

Description: Each week for kids 6-8 years old we will focus on fundamental swimming skills; basic stroke, water safety essentials, etc. Depending on the swimmer's progression we will add games (Marco Polo, Colors, Sharks and Minnows, etc.), bonding activities, and competitions. Keep in mind, if we feel that the kids are not able to swim as effectively or strongly, for their safety we will focus more on teaching them the proper technique.
Please note: This is not a swim lesson. All students MUST know how to swim without a life vest.

Description:Designed for young artists, this immersive experience offers a vibrant mix of painting, drawing, and crafts to foster self expression and imagination. Campers will also have the chance to interact with other camps via camp games.

Description: Students work in teams of two to program a drone to fly with block coding. Students learn the principles of flight as well as the python coding language. The group produces a video at the end of the class to show off the flight paths and stunts of the drones.

We will focus on bonding games as well as competitions like relay races, in-water sports (water polo, water volleyball), and other activities (Sharks and Minnows, Treasure hunt, treading water challenge, etc) that can increase a student’s swimming skills.

Projects will include tie dye, slime, raised salt/marble painting, and so much more!
